Starter passed its test at auto shop.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1414088126161_5209" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1414088126161_5217" dir="ltr">But...the "new" starter is bigger than the broken one, and it does not have that "pin" that slides into the hole in the engine. ( "Pin" is about half inch diameter, and an inch and a half or so extending out from the gear.)<br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1414088126161_5218" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1414088126161_5221" dir="ltr">The new one fits nicely into the mounting, and gears seem to be compatible.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1414088126161_5219" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1414088126161_5220" dir="ltr">MUST the replacement be same as the old...with that "pin" ?<br></div></div></body></html>
