I was 22, the internet was much smaller, and the brain trust for the Type 3 seemed limited to the email list and rec.autos.vw.aircooled. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>I sold my ’69 Squareback in 1995 when I was still in flailing around in college, and I regret it to this day. I’ve wrenched on many cars since, but I’ve stayed in the VW family (though watercooled), and am forever entertaining the idea of getting another Type 3.
