No locking tabs on mine as there were no lock plates. I guess what made the
24mm nut seem tight when loosening things up was just it being kind of
“rusted” in place then. Though I could swear that the outer nut snugged the
inner down onto the tie rod much more tightly on one side than the other. I’ll

face=Arial>If it really bothers you, park the car up on a curb (on the right
side), then working from underneath in the center, use a pipe wrench to hold the
tie rod (tube part), and tighten the jamb nut further. You might find more room
to work this way. ;-) Sometimes you have to work with the surroundings. <BR>
