face=Arial>I think bugs did go back to single plates, but I don't know the year
it happened. All IRS type 3s had dual plates though. It might be a case of VW
feeling that the double plate might have been needed on the slightly heavier
type 3, and in particularly the Squareback since it would normally be loaded
with stuff (carrying a heavy load). A great example of this is both Jim and
Keith when they drive to an Invasion, as they both load their cars up with all
sorts of stuff you'd never think of carrying. ;-)<BR>
