YEa, we got the flashing yellow arrows here in NY, and the associated<br>
accidents.<br>
NY uses roundabouts for ONE reason, they are CHEAP! no maintenance costs...<br>
they will tear the bad one out in 5 years, that how long it takes to forget<br>
whose bonehead idea it was to put it in and you no longer need to assign<br>
blame. :-)<br>

Those roundabouts are terrible. They work if there is very little traffic.<br>
Most drivers do not know how to use them, rules, right of ways.<br>
<br>
Even NJ pulled them out. They are a left over of England's influence.<br>
<br>
They keep putting them in Utah now. Along with intersections that have you<br>
driving on the wrong side of the road.<br>
<br>
Have had conversations with DOT. They insist they have it right.<br>
<br>
Also, instead of green left turn arrows they now use flash yellow arrows. A<br>
lot of accidents because of them.<br>

I was wondering if anyone was listening :-)<br>
there is a huge backup down a long hill to a bridge that Im stuck at every<br>
day, last year they replaced the traffic light with a roundabout and they<br>
dont work when you have 2 heavy flows of traffic into them from right<br>
angles, TRIPLED the delay, and the new 35 million dollar bridge is going to<br>
be a complete waste unless they rip that roundabout<br>
