'69 Square.<div>Age and heat have destroyed the fixed, inside, Sun Virsor Clips that mount though the headliner into a metal attachment bar, of some kind.</div><div><br></div><div>On the back of each clip is a small, molded,  plastic "post"  that sup posed to be pressed through the headiner and into an ~5mm hole in a metal bar.</div><div><br></div><div>However the place where the post is located is inside the slot where the round plastic stub on the the sun visor slides into.  </div><div><br></div><div>I tried to push on the outside of the clip to snap the post into the hole.  But the clip has a little "retainer-like" protrusion on it to hold it in place so the Phillips head screw can be screwed into the other end to secure the clip.</div><div><br></div><div>Since the slot in the clip is not sturdy enough to push on, (I pushed as hard as I dared, without breaking the plastic clip) I'm afraid the thin plastic clip will crack or break, before the post can "seat" into the metal mounting hole.</div><div><br></div><div>Next, I'm going to pick a drill bit with the correct shank size, to go into the clip slot so I can push hard enough to get the post to seat in the metal hole.</div><div><br></div><div>Other ideas??</div><br><br>-- <br><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div>Gary "Frito" - '69 Squareback, FI, MT, One-owner<br></div><div>Rockport, TX (winter)</div><div>Lake Geneva, WI (summer)</div></div></div></div></div></div><br>
