Hello I figure some one out here has a good knowledge of the differences on a 72 Type 3 Trans Vs a 74 Type 1.</div>

Two that I know of is the bell housing has the mounts in the 74 and it has a single side plate.</div>

Am askin because I have 2 good used Type 1 trans Sitting in my garage and when i rebuild the motor I might swap them</div>

in as the one in my type 3 is showing its age in synchros etc. </div>
