<div dir="ltr">I was surprised it was an auto trans , I knew later it was earlier than a 73 I got my 73 around the same time the movie came out yet didn't have any internet and had no idea about the year changes other than the early and later style bodies. I liked the early body better mine just happened to be on the used car area in a small ford dealership I worked at back then it had a few dents yet was all there and no rust , I prefer a standard trans this one just happened to be an AT and I never saw the FI before and the price was right $650 plus I was given a 72 from U haul across the street since I needed the wiper arms and rear bumper. The car in Hershey was owned by a guy named Eric, he bought it from<br>
Paramount after the movie for around $4500, drove it home and it quit on the<br>
way, towed it the rest of the way and it was never touched again till<br>
hershey. Eric was pretty much living out of the car he did drive, so not<br>
sure how much longer he had it but it was the one thing he had that had some<br>
value. After Hershey, one of the participants loned Eric his truck and tow<br>
dolly to move the car into a local storage locker, where it may have been<br>
ever since.<br>
