When I drove Elwood around town on the cool days we had before taking this trip – the oil temps really never got above 180. When we hit the road for this trip – it was basically running at 190 – 195 on the flat highway to Ohio. On the return trip home – Keith and I drove a lot of the trip through the rain. AS SOON as the rain hit- my oil temp. <b>immediately</b> went down to 180 and stayed there all the way home in the rain.
