is I saw the VW sale on Barrett-Jackson live TV.<br>

Actually - the sale of the car occurred in real time during a commercial,<br>
which is why I have no details. They just did a quick shot of the car & its<br>
sale price after the commercial.<br>

I would guess that your guy with the beetle front end parts has a notch<br>
where someone did that mod on purpose to have a shorter axle setup in order<br>
to get a wider tire/wheel combo under there on a lowered car.<br>
<br>
Correct me if I'm wrong, but IIRC that is a fairly common mod with lowered<br>
VW's.<br>
