<div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">With all respect to the prior CDI comments and commenters, my experience with installing one on my '75 Westy was a little different. I already have a Mallory Unilite distributor so I opted to stay with the brand and use their Mallory 6A CDI system. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">My first surprise was when doing the recommended bench testing of the unit - after setting it all up for a test, I was really surprised by the "spark" at the plug...instead of just a narrow spark of any color, the CDI unit produced more of a plasma cloud...definitely not just a narrow spark.
