Made it all the way to Dave and Anne's without pulling it out once!<br><br>For safety and long trips though, its a good idea and im sure your Daughter feels alot better<br>being able to follow you along. Turns out that I'm also "On the Road." I had to prove to myself and

daughter that I'm still capable of long drives by myself, so I
accepted an<br>
invitation to visit some friends who live near the upper west coast

Michigan. Turns out that they have come down with sore throats, so
I'm<br>
currently in a motel in Traverse City, MI.<br><br>
Let me know if there are any other Type 3ers in this area. I'll be
here for 2-3<br>
days.<br><br>
So far, so good. I finally bought a smart phone and, with the help
of a lot of<br>
good friends and family, I'm learning my way thru my "beginner's
license."<br><br>
I came the long way, up to the U.P. and over the top and down the
Macinac<br>
Bridge. I'll go back the same way in a few days. I've been here
once before,<br>
but that was with my parents, probably in 1958, just after the
bridge was<br>
finished in late 1957. The view from the top of the span is quite
impressive.<br><br>
