My resources are 1) Paper Maps (the give a better overview). 2) Waze and/or Goggle Maps. 3) Internet searches for stops along the way.</div>

Identifying places to stop and eat at along the way while traveling alone can be a challenge. What works best for me is identifying the next few towns I will be passing through; then stopping while searching for a place on Google Maps.</div>

That area has some good food. Soups, lunch, and dinners at local bars can be a great choice. I am not a fan of fast food.</div>

When I work in Wisconsin (Milwaukee, Green Bay, Marinette) I love the local homemade soups, bring a cooler to load up with cheese, steaks, brats, and hot dogs. The cooler becomes my return checked baggage.</div>

<div class="PlainText">I've found that Google Maps is much better than my Garmin GPS.
<br>
I'm fine, driving with its assistance in unknown surroundings. I've <br>
found that the one thing that's hard driving solo is finding a place <br>
to stop for lunch. The places I like tend to be small, with not much <br>
of a sign, so I'm past them before I realize they're there.<br>
