I use three resources while traveling. I travel a lot for work.
Yep, retired twice and sucked back into working again.<br><br>
My resources are 1) Paper Maps (the give a better overview). 2)
Waze and/or Goggle Maps. 3) Internet searches for stops along the
way.<br><br>
Identifying places to stop and eat at along the way while traveling
alone can be a challenge. What works best for me is identifying the
next few towns I will be passing through; then stopping while
searching for a place on Google Maps.<br><br>
That area has some good food. Soups, lunch, and dinners at local
bars can be a great choice. I am not a fan of fast food.<br><br>
When I work in Wisconsin (Milwaukee, Green Bay, Marinette) I love
the local homemade soups, bring a cooler to load up with cheese,
steaks, brats, and hot dogs. The cooler becomes my return checked
baggage.<br><br>
