Coating that mushes out properly when torqued and seals properly, the cover<br>

Hello Type 3 folks,<br>

So, I'm dealing with a low oil pressure issue and have narrowed it down to<br>
the pump.  I must have used the wrong gasket or maybe a pump gear is loose.<br>
Is it possible to do this in-car rather than pull the engine?  I'm thinking<br>
yes but I'm really not looking forward to it.<br>

Any advise or tips would be greatly appreciated.<br>
