The Pertronix works just fine in the D-Jet distributors. The only 
complication is the fact that it requires a special Pertronix-
modified rotor, which you can't get anywhere else, and it's possible 
that you can't get it any more from Pertronix.

It's interesting that the 6 V Pertronix units were more failure prone 
than the 12 Vs. That kinda makes sense, as 6 V doesn't give you much 
head room to design with.
