[T3] Hood (Bonnet) hard to latch and unlatch

Re/ previous messages about hood latch problems caused by accident.
  There's another gremlin to think of when it comes to such problems.

If there was no accident or other obvious problem, latching problems may be caused by the car bending out of shape due to rusting front-end assembly supportts...the heavy metal "arms" that hold the front axle.   As they rust, metal weakens, and the front end inches itself downward.   Latching and unlatching gets progressively harder.
   Apparently, adjusting that and repairing is next to impossible...in order to ever get alignment right again.   Maybe an expert and expensive welder could repair...but one could probably buy two more T-3s for the same price.
