The oil light on the dash....Is that just to indicate too low pressure, or
over-heating, or both?
But, after a long trip, or just a trip across town on a 90 degree day, the
oil light flickers.
It goes away while driving or with just a little rev. Is this normal?
Should idle be turned up? Something else? Should idle be adjusted when
it's REALLY hot?...i.e., beyond just "warmed up"?
It indicates low oil pressure.
This is normal, and was even called out in the owners manual for when these
cars were new.
Basically you don't need to do anything, unless IF you rev it up, and the
oil light doesn't go out, as then you have a problem.
