[T3] Crabby carbs

As Sherlock Holmes said, when all impossibilities have been ruled out, what
is left, however improbable, must be the truth.

I would have thought many of us would suffer the same if it was condensation
- we get damp days and cold days alternating, and damp/cold days too.
Since Keith is meticulous with his work, it doesn't seem likely that he's
missed something critical in the carb internals, and I am sure he won't have
left any manifold air-leaks. Fuel starvation might explain an engine that
runs roughly and slows down and stops. Carb icing might as well if temps
were cool and humidity high. That doesn't sound much like a continental
climate. Grossly over-rich? I'm sure Keith's nose alone would have shown
that up.

Usually with the balance pipe(s) they run on just one carb, though idle
isn't easy. Are both idle cut-offs working OK? Balance pipe hoses in place
and secure? Mine was a pig recently until I finally got all the balance
pipe hoses in place and the right length so they didn't pop off again.

Hmmm, that's possible, that tank has been nearly empty or half full
recently. Wouldn't that eventually pass though? How long would you think
Id need to run it to get the water worked out? Ive kept it running for a
few minutes but it never gets better and always stalls out if I let the RPM
get too low.

Thanks

Keith

i think you are getting condensation in the tank and when it sits you end up
with water dropplets moving reward to the carbs and it then runs like crap.
