It's just a low pressure indicator. Low pressure can be due to 
sucking air (low oil level) low fluid viscosity (hot oil) or large 
engine clearances. Or any combination of those 3.

The switch trip points vary a bit, so it's not easy to know exactly 
what this means, but it sounds fairly normal for an engine with a lot 
of miles on it (a combination of hot weather and large clearances.)

Nice to hear that things seem to be working well for you.
