True, but if you must remove the windshield to replace the seal: use a razor
knife and ~carefully~ cut the old seal (you don't want the knife to slip and
cut open your headliner) on the inside of the car. The top edge and both
sides is all you can easily get to, but that is enough to tilt the
windshield out. This pretty much guarantees the windshield will come out
without breakage. Getting it back in is something most leave to the pro
installers.
I broke one windshield learning what not to do, but I did get the second one
in ;-)
