Yes - not at all easy, and most would have evaporated by the time you turn
the key!  Also you want to protect the gasket under the cover as I don't
suppose they're too easy to get, so the fewer times it's removed the better.
How about using one of those easy start cans of spray?

thanks fellas....some good pointers. I will try and see where I am at
tomorrow. I was thinking about the carb being dry, but wasnt sure how to get
the gas in there without taking the top off (about 6 bolts or so.)
