[T3] WHY ISNT MY NOTCH RUNNING NOW!!!!!

Hey everyone...so I finally had enough time today to troubleshoot the nonstarting issue.

It was getting fuel to the carb, pulled the line and it spit gas while turning the key. Good thing!!

I checked all the connections from the coil and all seemed ok, other than the terminal where the condenser wire is connected. The terminal jiggles a bit and seems like it right break off the coil if screwed with to may more times. Maybe the terminal needs to be resoldered to the coil?? I just wrapped some copper wire around the back of it to sturdy it up a bit and help with a possible loss of connection.

The definite culprit....

The bolts that hold down the positive and negative wires on the generator were somewhat loose. Tighted them up and the Notch turned over. Took the car for a ride and practiced shifting finally.

I had my friend with me, who drives stick. Got him to drive the car and shift through the gears upshifting and downshifting while I listened for engine speed and got a feel for the timing instead of using my Tach(which I think is off by 500-1000rmp anyways) and not once did he slam into second downshifting from third.

So with some more practice, I should be fine.

Thanks for everyones help.
