[T3] clamp nut for front wheel bearing

The clamp nut is flat on one side and slightly beveled on the other.  Is the
beveled side supposed to be facing out or in ?  Does it matter?

I put it on with the bevel facing out because that's was the way I found it
when I first started doing my own maintenance.  But a VW shop thats been in
business 40+ years told me I had it on backwards when I took it there for an
alignment.
