Many years ago, I helped a friend replace the beam in his '64 with
one from a '67. To our astonishment, we discovered a number of
changes. We found that the inner bushes were closer to the outside on
the early beam, so the part of the torsion arm that stuck in there
was longer in the later version. (Or maybe I have that backwards; it
was ~40 years ago.)

We also discovered that the upper Zerks were in the beam clamp plates
on the late beam but inboard of the clamp plates on the early beam.
Only the late clamp plates had the hole in them to clear the late
Zerks.

In the end, it was a whole lot more work to switch everything over,
while preserving his existing brakes, than we had ever expected.
