Another thing to check is the dist cap. Make sure that the carbon 
brush that contacts the rotor is there, and make sure that the cap is 
the right one, not too tall.

Since inductive timing lights trigger on CURRENT, you can "have" 
spark voltage without current if there's not a complete secondary 
circuit. In other words, you might have spark voltage but not spark 
current.
