An additional source of play in our Type 3 cars is the endplay adjustment of the upper torsion bar (the anti-sway bar) in the front suspension. Play there can masquerade as ball joint or steering box play. Bentley also includes this adjustment procedure. Do this before checking the steering box play. -Phil
