No, they never got to the later system with the diaphragmless pressure
sensor. I need to try an recal the 1.6L for the 2056, Im told I can,
especially if I use the 2L injectors which already enrichen the mixture.

Take a 70 or 71 out and hold it at 1800RPM under light throttle in 2nd gear,
it will surge back and forth as you lumber along in traffic, and youll also
notice the transition to idle at 1200RPM is not smooth like it is in the
72-3... when you take those transitions and put them with an engine that is
much larger and has a lighter flywheel for its engine size you get a bucking
bronco! I need the smooth transitions of the Type 3 E based system, that
the T4's never got.

Keith

If you count 914s as a variety of Type 4, didn't the late ones get 5
pin TVSs? Besides, you want a 2L system, not a 1.6 or 1.7L system.

I seriously doubt that it's reasonable to argue that there's not much
calibration that takes place in the brain. If that were true, Bosch
could have made many fewer versions of the brains.

I'm aware of a problem some of our cars have in 4th gear at 25-30
mi/hr, is that one of the transition problems you're thinking about?
I'm not aware of another one, but I may just not be as aware as some
of the rest of you.
