Yes, Warfarin was named after WARF (Wisconsin Alumnae Research 
Foundation.) Generic name is Cumadin (sp?) WARF is a big institution 
here, and got its start from money that came from the early sales of 
patented Warfarin, which was invented by someone here at the UW.
