[T3] jim's correct distributor

Jim,

That 3 wire plug on the right side of motor center is for when you turn the
key on with the 2 screws loose you turn counter clockwise that little black
box till it clicks then you turn it 2 degrees more. Screw it down tight so
that when you pull the throttle back just ever so slight you hear the
electrical click from where the 3 wires go into one plug. Do you get it now?

The engine runs very good at warm. I did manage to get it at 0 degree TDC.
Kinda hard, starting up cold! low idle stall gotta give it some gas But
after warm up runs great and idle is really good. No stumbling or
hesitation.

Remember last year about my front end and steering gear box and wheels don't
turn fully lock to lock on one side? Well again after alignment I told the
mechanic to straighten the gear box arm straight back without tie rods
connected. I told him to readjust it from there, the tie rods correctly.
Its rock on now.

The gear box I dissembled last year, cleaned and checked. Everything looked
fine. Well there was so much SLOP in steering. I followed the Bentley and
adjusted the worm gear and roller today and it steers so wonderfully now.
Remember that clunking? It was a very loose worm gear. I followed
Bentley's process here. All gone, no clunking and no binding turning right
or left. A year older and just a wee bit wiser except for apeing around
with the turn signal assy.

Thanks for all your input. I see improvements.

I've been reading this paragraph for a couple of days, and I'm still
not certain I understand what it means. Yes, you may have to change
the idle air adjustment if you change the timing. Yes, the final idle
air adjustment must be done with the engine fully warmed up.

I have no idea what the 3 pin plug might have to do with this
adjustment.

Yes, time it to TDC, leftmost timing mark, and set the idle with the
timing there.
