I have almost all the exhaust parts. Yes, they are expensive, but 
they can last a good long time. One thing that I've learned is that 
the first things to rust out are the little tubes that feed into the 
muffler from the lower heat exchangers. You can make those last MUCH 
longer if you cut some light alum sheet to sort of form fit around 
those tubes and just clamp it there with worm gear hose clamps. The 
alum seems to sacrifice itself and save the steel. It really works, 
and it doesn't show unless you're under the car.

I discovered this after making some pieces like this to repair the 
rusted out pipes in an old muffler. Once that muffler completely 
died, I saved those parts and transferred them to the new muffler. 
I've been surprised that those lower pipes are no longer the first 
things to rust out, and I get a lot more life out of a muffler.

Were you looking for the '72-3 style or the earlier style?

Don't know, but I never had much success with the paste. I've used 
tin cans and alum sheet. Alum sheet works better.
