[T3] old T1 ?

I have a friend whom has the chance to purchase this chassis.......1-0623xx

It also has a A-1186549 cable brake split case

The Samba says late 45. Atleast if I read it correctly
Sorry for the lack of T3 content.
Anybody help a fellow VW guy?
