It wouldn't hurt to seal the gap with some silicone sealant, I'd guess, as
it's meant to be sealed.

Meaning, the ECU is not in a rainy area ?  'Cause I live in Portland, OR and
it's definitely rainy :)

I'll hope for the best and see that does !  I might try to crimp those tabs
down a little better though.
