Without the rear heat exchangers, it may not be getting hot enough to 
even open up the mixer box thermostats. If that's the case, you'll be 
getting less total airflow, and cooler air as well. But that's 
probably as good as it's going to get with the setup you have.

If you shut off the rear footwell openings (left heater lever) then 
you'll get more to the front, but you probably knew that already. If 
there's rot in the rocker panels, you'll also lose lots of heat 
there.

These systems gave LOTs of heat when they were new and complete, but 
there are lots of things that will cause this to decline over time.
