Let me clarify things. I towed the Squareback from Jack's in Imperial Beach, California to Oma's in El Cajon, California per my Vater saying so. He doesn't want me to sell the Squareback and so we came up on an agreement. Oma doesn't want it in her driveway sitting on axle stands (suspension/tires was having trouble so hung it free). It now needs to be transported from El Cajon, California to Mesa, Arizona (near Phoenix). I have quotes from $300 to $400 to ship it non-runing. I could get anout a $100 knocked off if it was running. To get a hitch for the Mercedes is at least $250, I would have to rent a dolly (no tow bars available and heard they are not good over long distances), and have to turn a five hour drive into an eight hour drive.
