[T3] Microfiche

The microfiches I've seen are just the images of the pages in the parts
book, but with more scratches! I think the original pages are clearer and
easier to read with the magnification available on them.

I take the point about being able to flick through them like the book
itself. It can sometimes take a while to get the right page - sometimes I
use a book that has just the parts illustrations to find where I want to be!
What about the program used for online publishing?

Hello Bob,

If you would be willing to part with your set of 'fiche for a little while
for me to make a go at scanning and getting them together in a pdf file, I'd
be happy to pay for media mail shipping and even give you a little something
as a 'rental' fee, if you want. Seeing Jacin's post about the Type 3 Wiki,
this could be a great addition to that page. I'm imagining being able to
make a single file that one would be able to page through in a pdf reading
program (like Adobe Acrobat Reader or apple's Preview). If this turns out
to be the case, perhaps it could be made available for download from the
wiki site (I'm not good with web design, so I'm not sure how well that would
work). I guess in some ways it would be a little redundant to have the
'fiche when he's got the parts catalog up on the wiki but it would be nice
to have something that people could put on their computers and be able to
look at multiple pages more easily, as with a book.

Let me know what you think and I can send you my address.

Thanks,Jeremy
