So, I was looking through my friend's Porsche 'microfiche' (digitized version) and really wanting the equivalent for the Type 3's. I've looked around online and seen the CDROM's that Bentley sells (for $110!) but I thought I'd make a proposition on the list. I work in a photo archive and have access to a very high quality scanner and scanning software and am adept at operating both. I was thinking if anyone has a real (as in film) set of 'fiche for the T-3's (any/all years) to lend, I could scan them and make a multi-page pdf for people to have a digital copy of. I realize that if such a set existed, one might not want to let it leave the house but I think it would be really useful to make it available to people on the list and I'm not interested in trying steal someone's 'fiche. I know I spend a while searching catalogues to figure out part numbers (if I don't have them) and just having the exploded view drawings is very helpful. On the other hand, if anyone has one of the CDROM versions, could you tell me what type of file(s) they use? They're made for use on Windows and I use a Mac but if I could convert the files to a universally recognized format, I'd be willing to just buy the CD and convert it to use on my computer. I can also imagine that the CD runs like a program and may not have individual files for each sheet of 'fiche. Thought I'd ask and see if anyone had it and could let me know how it works/what the files are.Just an idea I thought I'd throw out there.-Jeremy
