Yes, but you can bet someone has a welder and will repair the broken link!
On the cruise to Crater Lake in Oregon, someone had trouble with their rear
axle assembly - it was sorted in a short time, but on the Pacific Redwoods
trail, Brian had a rear hub strip out (we missed out on that drive). On the
first Invasion, there were several episodes, small items mostly, but they
were all sorted, even the Type 3 that was being towed and jacknifed.
The spirit of adventure still exists in the USA - the Invasions prove it!

As for attending the 2010 Invasion in Carthage. At that time I believe my
'69 was still suffering from that "high-speed" engine "miss". The
Belleville Washers seemed to have fixed that problem. But in 2010, I would
have been "left by the roadside" by the caravan. And rightly so. "
