One thing to make sure to avoid would be reground lifters. I noticed 
that one of the web sites mentioned regrinding lifters as one of the 
services they offer. The lifters are only surface hardened, and 
regrinding them gets down to much softer material. The lifters should 
be good quality new ones. Bad quality ones (too soft) exist.

And, yes, shipping on a complete engine will be expensive, plus the 
return shipping of your core (or you pay the core charge.)
