[T3] Type 3 trailer hitch?

It's been about 10 years since we've owned a Type 3 ('71 Squareback)
and been on this list.  I was digging through the garage over the
weekend and found a VW trailer hitch.  It doesn't look like the one on
our '72 VW Bus and I was thinking it may have been for a Type 3.  The
part number on the tongue is ZVW 164 401, the max weight listed is
1100lbs and tongue weight is 88lbs.  I've posted a few pictures here
in case someone can ID it.
