[T3] early seat release cables

They used to back in the day.  My 64 1500S Variant had them and they worked.
Made a change after the '59 Beetle, where kids in the back would fly forward
into the front if you braked hard!

Well I got those cables on the Crate, got them all adjusted and well. they
really don't work!
Am I just wasting my time trying to get them to?  As I recall I had a car
once where at least one of them did. but that was long ago.

Anyone with any advice or experience with them?  Its pretty easy just to
reach under the seat and pull the cable though..
