[T3] crates engine

Yes the 411/412 case is pretty interchangeable with the others. I rebuilt the one that came in a 73 bus I inherited. The oil breather is closed by cast aluminum, and the dipstick was on top. It was very peppy and I was shifting gears earlier when it was paired with the 002 trans. It was a fun 1700 rebuild and took lighter smaller heat exchangers, I often consider 412 wagons but have resisted the urge so far...

Is this what I should be doing. Install cylinder head. Install thin paper gasket, phenolic spacer, paper gasket, carburetor? If yes, I can make up the thin gaskets and I am good to go. Sorry, I only have the later Bentley and it does not cover the early duel carburetor vehicles. Thanks everyone.

Work got in the way and I let the car set. No matter what I did to adjust the carburetors, that left side still back fired. And then there was the oil leak. So, I gathered up the repair parts to (new seals) to reinstall the push rod tube correctly. Figured the misfire was a tight valve. So with the engine in the car I removed the coil, generator, carburetor, intake, and sheet metal. Then I removed the valve cover and discovered this.
