[T3] Engine bolted in good news bad news

Oh YEA, first off.. oh WOW, black injectors! Those are ancient OEM units
from a 68 or 9, but they are fine if OK. I still think the Oring is leaking
and the gas just happens to find its way out thru electrical terminal
instead of the body/plastic seam.

That seems odd, because in 44 years, I've only seen 1 or 2 injectors that
actually leaked out thru the electrical connection. Are you SURE the leak is
not thru the short hose that's crimped onto the injector?
Leaky hoses there are VERY common. You can carefully cut thru the crimp
ferrule and replace that hose with something newer. There's a normal hose
barb underneath there, so be careful not to cut thru the rubber and into
that fitting.

Not quite as common are leaks where the molded plastic meets the steel
injector body. If your leaks are there, there are O-rings inside which have
dried out and shrunk. You can't get in there to replace them, but if you let
them soak in gasoline, they often swell back up and seal. The easiest way to
do this is to just run the engine for a few seconds a couple times a day for
a week.

I have new and good used injectors. New ones are $50, used ones are half
price.
