I would add that I've probably driven more Type 3 miles than most of 
you out there, and yet I've never had to replace or rebuild a single 
one of my generators. I've replaced brushes and voltage regulators, 
that's all.

The Taurus that we had for 14 years went thru 3 alternators in that 
time.

Bob, are you saying that if you buy a Bosch rebuild (actually rebuilt 
by Bosch) today, it's likely to be poorly done? If so, I can believe 
it, but it saddens me.
