[T3] muffler damper

replaced the cylinder head and put the engine back in only to find that the damper does not fit the new muffler. i can find a new damper but not the curved section that extends out under the bumper and attaches to the muffler. any suggestions? i could weld the old one on if i have to but would prefer not to make it so irreversible. thanks kk
