There actually WERE a few IRS '68s, but those were late '68 AT dual 
carb versions, not sold in the US. They're pretty rare. I think we 
MIGHT have heard from only 1 on this list over all its years.

Otherwise, like Bob says, look at and under the hubcaps and inside 
the drums. I've heard hubcaps make a noise like that if they weren't 
pushed on all the way. Make sure the lug bolts are tight (92 ft-lbs.) 
It's not likely to be the wheel bearing; those don't ever seem to go 
out.

You'll know at a glance if it's swing axle or IRS. Either way, it's 
always worthwhile to check the tranny fluid level. (final drive if
