It's never going THRU the gasket. It's either going between the 
gasket and the glass or the gasket and the body. Dave's right that 
you have to start by sealing the top, or else you just push water 
into the inside.

However, by far, the most common leak inside is thru the fresh air 
vent system due to clogged water drain tubes. They get clogged with 
leaves, which allows water to pool in them until it overflows into 
the interior (and causes rust in multiple places.) This is a problem 
for all years.

I have a writeup on how to clean out your water drain tubes if you 
want it. Everyone should do this occasionally.

I also started making and stocking magnetic sheet covers for those 
intake air louvers, to keep leaves out when the car is parked. You 
can also leave them in place and they will stay in place up to any 
speed the car can go.
