[T3] Installing right side mirror

My '69 has a triangular nut plate that is loose inside the passenger door.
It takes 1 person to hold the nut plate centered over the hole while
another person threads on the mirror.  I have thought about using JB Weld
or putty to hold the nut place in position, haven't tried it.
