I'm sure the Squarebacks had two mirrors back then, but you would be looking
for a pre-'66 car to get the 3-bolt hinges.  There can't be too many of
those that side of the pond! Canada maybe?

I would think welding in the plate with nut would be a far easier way, as
has been suggested.

In that case it will be harder to find a matching door, and it's possible
that those years didn't ever come with a right side mirror. 
I may have a '66 door here, which should be the same, but it's not close
enough for me to look for a mirror hole.

There are lots of people here more familiar with the early (pre '68) years
than I am.  

Where are you located? Someone here might have doors and fenders for you.
