Lug bolts should be tightened with a torque wrench to ~92 ft-lbs. If
you do that, you'll have no trouble getting them off. The problems
come when you let a tire shop tighten the bejesus out of them with an
air wrench. I take my torque wrench with me when going in for tire
work. I let them install things loosely and then I finish the job.
That's saved a lot of trouble over the years.
I also put a bit of anti seize on the lug bolt threads, just the
threads, never on the spherical collar.
